Blessing of the Animals

A Celebration of the Holy Feast of St. Francis of Assisi at BOTH Sunday Services. Please bring your pets under restraint or in a pet carrier for a special blessing. We begin our service by Blessing the Animals outside in the front of the Church, weather permitting, then processing in for the actual Sunday Holy Communion service.

During communion you may receive the elements from one of two stations.
If you bring your animal(s) forward with you, you will go to the standing station near the baptismal font.
If you can leave animal(s) unattended in the pews, you may come to the altar rail to receive in the usual fashion.

This split process allows all to receive, but also accounts for individuals with allergies or fear of certain animals in the confined space near the altar.

We have been asked if it might be possible to bring in pictures of beloved animals who have died for the memorial table. Yes, you may do so.

There are no upcoming events posted at this time. Please check back later.
