Ash Wed. Imposition of Ashes
Ash Wednesday begins the Season of Lent
This is a solemn day of discipline and self-denial. Members are encouraged to bring their blessed palms from previous years to the Church Office ahead of time. The priest thens burns them to make the "Ashes" we use the following year at Ash Wednesday.
Traditionally our Ash Wednesday service begins with a solemn service of Holy Communion and the Imposition of Ashes. As a COVID precaution, we will not follow this service with a Soup Supper in the Robertson Parish Hall, but we look forward to next year!
