Join us at 4:00 pm in Taylor Park to distribute free books to the children trick-or-treating downtown for Halloween. Costumes were optional, but fun! This is a traditional community outreach program for St. Thomas Church.

Join us for the Annual Messiah Sing at St. Thomas this Christmas, Tuesday, December 17th at 7:30 p.m. Free and open to the public, singers and listeners are welcome. This is truly an opportunity to glorify God with all that we have and without rehearsal. Scores will be provided but singers are always welcome to bring their own as well. The Messiah Sing is accompanied by a string ensemble, our own Mr. Bill Drake as organist, and Mr. Alan Miller, from the Orange Baptist Church, conducting.

Eckhart Ensemble

The concert usually includes musical seletions by a variety of composers like: Handel and Bach. We are fortunate to frequently host: Nicolas Duchamp and Jennifer Lawson as flute soloists with the ensemble, playing such pieces as: Bach's Fourth Brandenburg Concerto.

Please join us in a book discussion of Harper Lee’s Go Set a Watchman. Hosted by St. Thomas & Co book club. The parameters of the discussion will include a socio-historic backdrop to the novel, a literary overview of Southern Literature and how the novel captures the ethos and pathos of its time. We will also discuss the controversy of its publication. Does the new book contaminate the legendary Atticus and Scout?
